John Lappin investigates if the net zero consensus is under threat. He referred to the Open Letter to Stuart Kirk, by Noël Amenc, Ph.D. and Frédéric Blanc-Brude, Ph.D., where they questioned Kirk’s ‘theoretical and empirical consistency’.
“You may be right or not that climate stress test models are useless. But the conclusion that climate risk does not exist is yet another fallacy. Unknown unknowns are a thing….Institutional investors see their very existence in many jurisdictions as conditioned by their ability to take the non-financial consequences of their investment into account”, Mr. Lappin quoted Dr Amenc and Dr. Blanc-Brude in the article.
